D irectly adjacent to our clubhouse is the Hotel Mas Gallau. The hotel has 40 rooms. The rooms are bright, spacious, soundproofed and equipped with all modern amenities, such as air conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar and free Wi-Fi. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the golf course, the cozy garden and the swimming pool.

The hotel also has a well-known restaurant, with a decor and style typical of an early 20th century Catalan farmhouse. The restaurant serves high quality traditional Mediterranean cuisine with international influences, all prepared with fresh and locally produced ingredients. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list with locally produced wines. The hotel also serves a delicious breakfast which is included in all of our Stay & Play packages.

Good location near Gaudí Golf – and the city of Reus
The location is ideal as a base for your next golf trip. In addition to playing and training on our own golf course, you are close to 4 other golf courses within a 15-minute drive.

The closest is the Gaudí Golf Club, just 10 minutes away. The Gaudí Golf Club features an 18-hole par 71 course, driving range, practice areas and a clubhouse with a restaurant. The course is varied and not too hilly, so you don’t need a golf cart to play. The holes are varied with several water hazards, well-placed bunkers and sometimes narrow fairways. The greens are good and the flag positions are usually challenging.

After the round, you should enjoy a glass or two of vermouth, a bowl of olives and a bag of chips and salsa. It is a specialty of the town of Reus, only 5 minutes away from the golf course, which is the home of vermouth. In Reus you will find a variety of producers such as Miro, Iris and Yzaguirre to name a few.

Infinitum Golf offers 3 different courses
A 15-minute drive from GolfStar Cambrils is Infinitum Golf (formerly Lumine Golf) with its three golf courses. Here you will find the Hills (18-hole), Lakes (18-hole) and Ruins (9-hole) Course. For those who have been here before, there are two different clubhouses. One at Hills and one at Lakes. Both have well-stocked golf shops, changing rooms and restaurants. There are also driving ranges and practice areas adjacent to the clubhouses.

Infinitum is also the venue each fall for the final stage of the European Tour Qualifying School. It is one of the most dramatic and nerve-wracking golf competitions in the world, where the stars of tomorrow compete against established professionals in the hope of winning full status on the DP World Tour for the coming season.

The Lakes Course is designed by Greg Norman and measures about 7,000 meters from the Championship tee, has water coming into play on 13 holes. Including the finishing hole, a par-5 of 480 meters, making this hole an exciting end to every round of golf played here.

The second 18-hole course, the Hills Course, is played in an undulating landscape with tree curtains along the holes. Where the 18th hole can be reached directly from the tee with a perfect drive. But then you have to make sure to avoid the large water hazard and several bunkers in front of the green.

There is also the delightful 9-hole Ruins Course, which is played among Roman ruins and reminds you of the history of the region.

If you play the Hills Course, make sure to summarize the day’s score on the terrace with a freshly baked pizza and a cold drink. At the same time, you can enjoy great views of the 18th hole and the PortAventura and Ferrari Land theme parks.

Sun and beaches – and food and drink
If you feel like doing something other than playing golf, the wonderful beaches of Cambrils are only 2 km away from the hotel. Located on the coast, Cambrils has a long history of being a fishing town. To this day, the fish trade is crucial to the area. Cambrils is the perfect place to soak up the sunshine after your round of golf at one of the outdoor bars and restaurants along the picturesque promenade. Its proximity to the sea also means that plenty of seafood can be found on the menus of the city’s restaurants.

If you want some restaurant tips, we can highly recommend visiting Llop del Mar, Restaurant Germans Miquel’s, Restaurant La Confraria or Restaurant Club Nàutic. After dinner, you can end the evening with a visit to the Beure’t winery, where you’ll find a wide range of local wines before heading back to the hotel.

If you are interested in wine, you should visit the wine districts of Montsant or Priorat, which are 35 km away. Be sure to visit the Bell Cros wine house, owned by Swedish couple Ann and Peter Skoglund and located in the town of Falset. Bell Cros’ ambition is to be one of the top five wine producers in DO Montsant and they organize various types of wine tastings and are well worth a visit.
